Wilson "Official American Association" baseball (Doherty) signed by Hall of Fame catcher Mickey Cochrane in blue ink on the sweet spot. Cochrane's signature alone on a baseball is rare because he died in 1962, at the age of 59, long before autographs in general, and single-signed balls in particular, became high-priced commodities. We have seen very few Mickey Cochrane single-signed balls over the years, and this is only the fourth we can ever recall offering. The ball is moderately soiled and has a number of surface abrasions. JSA has noted as part of their review that there are removals evident on all panels of the baseball. In Very Good condition overall. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA. Opening Bid $500.
