Presented is an astonishing, ultra-high-grade complete set minus one of Fleer's "comeback" issue, entirely graded and encapsulated GEM MINT 10 by PSA. Missing only the Michael Jordan rookie for completion (a MINT 9 example is offered individually elsewhere in this auction). The 131 cards include among many stars, Hall of Famers, and low-population commons, including the notoriously tough #76 Johnny Moore. The assembly of this near-complete set is a tremendous collecting achievement. This is the finest assembly of this modern classic that we have ever offered! Each card is absolutely deserving of its GEM MINT status, with bright colors, perfect centering, and four sharp corners. This set marks the first basketball set produced by Fleer since 1961. Fleer stopped producing basketball cards after 1961, and powerhouse competitor Topps ruled the basketball-card market from the late 1960s until the mid-1980s. This set is loaded with superstars and rookie cards of future Hall of Famers. This is an outstanding near-complete set, assembled with a strict focus on ultra high grade, which would make a worthy addition to any world-class basketball-card collection.
