Graded EX+ 5.5 by PSA (submitted by REA). Extraordinary high-grade rookie card of legendary Hall of Famer Willie Mays, one of the most important of all 1950s bubble-gum cards. In addition to being one of the two key cards of the 1951 Bowman set, Mays is part of the scarce high-number series (#253-324). This card has vibrant colors, outstanding registration, light corner wear (weaker bottom left), and centering toward the left. The reverse is crisp and clean, without even the slightest trace of the gum or wax staining that so frequently affects 1951 Bowmans. An outstanding opportunity to acquire a beautiful example of Willie Mays' rookie card. Opening Bid $5,000.
