Presented is an uncut panel from the 1941 Play Ball series highlighted by key Hall of Famers Ted Williams and Jimmie Foxx. Obviously, these cards were not issued in uncut panels, and this panel long ago was cut from a sheet. All eight cards on this panel are fully printed on the reverse, defining these as uncut final-issue cards. This panel is part of a newly discovered and sizable group of hundreds of eight-card panels from this popular series, representing various quantities and configurations of card numbers. The collection will be presented over a series of auctions. The offered eight-card panel, which measures 20 x 3 inches, features cards #13 Foxx (HOF), 14 T. Williams (HOF), 37, 38, two 39 Henrich, and two 40. The panel has light toning on the left and right edges and is centered toward the bottom. Despite this, the strip presents extremely well with outstanding registration and vibrant colors. This is a very unusual and fascinating example of a rare uncut 1941 Play Ball panel, which would be a worthy addition to a 1941 Play Ball, uncut sheet, or prewar-baseball collection. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot. Opening Bid $10.
