Graded GOOD 2 by SGC. Attractive example of the rare Ray Demmitt card, St. Louis Browns T206 variation. Polar Bear was the only company to issue this variation, thus contributing to its significant rarity. T206 cards issued with Polar Bear tobacco were not well protected from the accompanying product, so almost all Demmitt's have significant condition problems, including at least some tobacco staining. This example displays bright colors, a crisp image moderate corner wear, and centering toward the top left. The Polar Bear reverse is mostly clean and boldly printed. Edge wear and a small crease around the bottom left corner factor into the assigned grade. This is an appealing example of one of the rarest and most condition-sensitive cards in the classic T206 White Border set. Reserve $10.
