Presented is a very rarely offered M101-6 Felix Mendelsohn Joe Jackson. In fact, this is one of only two examples ever to be authenticated by PSA or SGC at any level! The M101-6 set was produced by Chicago publisher Felix Mendelsohn and offered in the pages of The Sporting News over a period of several years (approximately 1917 thru 1920). In addition to cards of Babe Ruth and Ty Cobb, this card of Joe Jackson is unquestionably one of the key cards to this rare set. This is the first example of Jackson that we have ever offered! The image of Jackson batting is exceptionally crisp with flawless registration. Encapsulated as Authentic Altered by PSA (submitted by REA) due to being affixed into an album and later removed. The piece has been slightly trimmed and has extensive back damage. Despite not receiving a numerical grade, this card presents beautifully. An appealing example of this rare Joe Jackson card that would be a welcomed addition to even the most advanced collection! Opening Bid $5,000.
