Offered is a rare and very interesting pair of uncut acetate color-process proof sheets used in the production of the "Star Wars: Return of the Jedi" set issued by Topps in 1983. These acetate sheets were components of the production process. Each uncut 44-card acetate sheet (approximately 17.5 x 29.5 inches and 20.25 x 30 inches) has four layers in black, cyan, magenta, and yellow taped at the edges onto a large piece of white paper. When all four colors are combined they create the appearance of final production cards. It is noteworthy that these sheets include unreleased cards. These uncut sheets were originally saved by Topps as examples for its files but were then later sold by the company shortly after opening the Topps Vault. The sheets have minor handling wear and printer notations in the borders. Total: 2 sheets. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
