New York Yankees ticket stub issued for a game against the Washington Senators on July 4, 1951, which marked Mickey Mantle's last appearance wearing jersey number "6." This was the number he was originally issued at the start of the season. On July 15th, Mantle, who was struggling mightily at the plate, was sent back down to the minors to help him regain his form. After his return to the club, on August 24th, Mantle was given number "7," which he wore for the remainder of his career. PSA has encapsulated the ticket and certified it as "Authentic." This is the first example of this ticket stub we have offered in the past twenty years. The ticket stub (1-5/8 x 2-3/4 inches), issued for a "Mezzanine Box Seat," has heavy creasing throughout.
