Rare Jake Daubert H&B signature-model bat (pre-dating model numbers) dating from the 1923-1925 manufacturing period. Graded GU 8 by PSA/DNA. The bat, which is not cracked, displays outstanding use including checking (grain swelling), ball marks, cleat marks, and a light coat of pine tar on the handle. First baseman Jake Daubert was a two-time National League batting champion with Brooklyn in 1913 and 1914. In 1919 he was traded to the Cincinnati Reds, where he helped lead the club to its first-ever World Championship against the infamous "Black Sox." Daubert retired after the 1924 season, finishing his career with a .303 average and 2,326 hits. Length: 34 inches. Weight: 39.9 ounces.
