Rare Boston Red Sox ticket stub ("Rain Check") issued for a game at Fenway Park, dated 1912. SGC has encapsulated the ticket and certified it "Authentic." 1912 marked the Red Sox first season playing at Fenway Park. The printing along the top of the ticket reads "Boston American League Base Ball Club" and is dated "1912" on the lower-left edge. The number "53" is also printed on the front, as is the price, "50 Cents." The facsimile signature of Boston team president James McAleer appears along the base. (James McAleer was owner of Boston's American League franchise from 1911 to 1913.) The reverse has an elaborate beer advertisement. The ticket (1.5 x 3.25 inches) has moderate creasing and light staining. In Fair condition overall. Opening Bid $200.
