Worth "Official League" baseball signed on a side panel in blue ink by Hall of Fame executive Ed Barrow. Barrow, in addition to discovering Honus Wagner and switching Babe Ruth from the mound to the outfield, was the architect of the Yankees baseball dynasty. He began his long tenure with the Yankees in 1921 as general manager and remained with the club, in a number of capacities, until his retirement in 1947. During that time the Yankees won fourteen pennants and ten World Championships. Barrow, who died in 1953, is an extremely rare single-signed ball. In fact, this is the first single-signed Barrow ball we have offered in the past 20 years. The ball has moderate soiling but otherwise is in Very Good to Excellent condition overall. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA. Opening Bid $5,000.
