Presented is a cut album page featuring the signatures of Hall of Famers Grover Alexander and John McGraw. Both players have signed the cut in black fountain pen. According to our consignor, these two signatures were removed from a scrapbook kept by Rud Rennie (he has also signed the page "Rud Rennie - N.Y. Herald" in blue), a sportswriter for the New York Herald Tribune, chiefly assigned to the New York Yankees and the New York Giants football team for some 36 years. He was a friend and confidant of many celebrated sports figures, including Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. The cut (3-1/8 x 1-1/2 inches) has been affixed to a slightly larger paper backing (3-3/4 x 2-1/8 inches) and remains in Good condition. The year "1926" is noted on the paper backing.
