Graded EX-MT+ 6.5 by PSA. Outstanding example of Hall of Famer Chief Bender (Philadelphia Athletics) from the T204 Ramly series, one of the premier tobacco-card issues of the era. The Ramly series is one of the most desirable of all the tobacco-card issues, appreciated by collectors both for its rarity and distinctive style. Bender is one of only fifteen Hall of Famers in theset. The offered example has a striking portrait image, virtually no chipping to the gold borders, strong corners with light touches of wear, and centering toward the left. The back is almost entirely clean with bold print. This is a fantastic high-grade example of this popular Hall of Famer from this extremely condition-sensitive set. Opening Bid $500.
