Near-complete set of 1964 Bazooka consisting of thirty-three single hand-cut cards (out of thirty-six in the set) plus one uncut three-card panel. Missing #1 Mantle, 14 Clemente (who appears on the panel included in this collection), and 34 Kaline for completion. The Hall of Famers featured in this near-set are Clemente, Aaron, Mays, Koufax, Kaline, Killebrew, McCovey, B. Robinson, F. Robinson, B. Williams, and Yastrzemski. Condition is 60% Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt, 10% ranging from Vg to Ex-Mt, and 30% Pr to Fr. The preceding grades, as well as those in the composite below, are also without respect to the neatness of the cut. (Most of the cards are cut neatly, although there are a few cases of tapering cuts or missing borders.) Three cards are graded and encapsulated by PSA. Keys: #2 Groat (EX-MT 6), 9 Aaron (NM 7), 12 Mays (cut small, otherwise Pr-Fr), 16 Yastrzemski (Fr-Gd due to small spot of paper loss on right border), 17 Williams (Nr/Mt-Mt), 21 McCovey (Nr/Mt), 30 B. Robinson (pencil mark on reverse, otherwise Gd+), 31 F. Robinson (Nr/Mt-Mt), and 32 Koufax (marks on reverse, otherwise Gd). Also included is an uncut panel #13/14 Clemente/15 (PSA GOOD+ 2.5, with no creasing of the Clemente portion of the panel). This is a very attractive near-set of these unusual, scarce, and underrated Bazooka Bubble Gum package-design cards. Total: 34 items (near-complete set of 33 cards plus uncut panel). Opening Bid $200.
