Graded NM/MT+ 8.5 by SGC. High-grade example of Stan Musial's rookie card, one of the most important cards of the era and the key card of Bowman's first baseball-card set. One of the greatest hitters who ever lived and a seven-time batting champ, Musial retired in 1963 as the National League's all-time leader in hits with 3,630 (since broken) and finished his career with a .331 average. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1969, his first year of eligibility. This example has outstanding image clarity, strong corners, and centering slightly toward the bottom left. Boldly printed reverse. Tiny spots of discoloration are visible on the front. This is a very attractive high-grade example of Hall of Famer Stan Musial's rookie card. Opening Bid $2,500.
