Graded VG+ 45 by SGC. Mid-grade example of one of the most popular of all Lou Gehrig cards and one of the classic 1930s bubble-gum cards. The offered card has vibrant colors, outstanding registration, and honest corner wear. The reverse has bold green text. A patch of discoloration next to Gehrig's right leg and a few unobtrusive wrinkles are noted strictly for accuracy. This is an ideal card for the collector who wants a visually appealing 1933 Goudey #160 Lou Gehrig but is not interested in spending the many additional thousands of dollars an example in a significantly higher grade might cost. Opening Bid $1,000.
