Graded NM 7 by SGC. Magnificant example of one of Babe Ruth’s most classic cards: #53 Ruth (yellow background) from the 1933 Goudey series. The yellow background pose of Babe Ruth is, without a doubt, his most difficult-to-obtain and sought-after card in the 1933 Goudey set. For some reason, this card is also a condition rarity compared with other Ruth cards in the set. The offered card has beautiful colors, outstanding registration, and strong corners with light touches of wear. Bold green print on the off-white reverse. Goudey cards featuring Babe Ruth are among the most recognizable of all vintage cards in the hobby, and they are on almost every list of the greatest cards ever issued. Collectors appreciate how scarce superb high-grade examples really are, with cards in the extreme high grades, such as this, realizing exceptionally strong prices recently. There is good reason for it: Goudey Babe Ruth cards are never going out of style with collectors, and they are among the safest stores of value and most recognizable cards available to new collectors. This is an outstanding high-grade example of one of Babe Ruth's most important and highly prized baseball cards. Opening Bid $20,000.
