Presented is an extremely rare original unopened rack pack of 1972 Topps baseball featuring a total of fifty-four cards enclosed within. Any early 1970s rack pack is scarce, but the offered rack is exceptionally notable as it is highlighted by Hall of Famers Carl Yastrzemski (#37) and Roberto Clemente (#310) showing on top. This pack has been in the possession of our consignor for many years, purchased directly from Steve Hart, the foremost expert on unopened material. Our consignor subsequently had the pack wrapped by Hart's company, Baseball Card Exchange (BBCE), when that service became available. It has been one of the prizes of his impressive collection ever since. The pack displays extremely well overall, with normal crimping along the plastic edges and two tiny tears on the folding seams (mentioned for accuracy). This is the first BBCE-wrapped 1972 Topps rack pack that REA has offered in over twenty years! This rack would make an excellent addition to any unopened pack collection or companion to any complete 1972 Topps baseball set. Reserve $2,500.
