Scarce team composite cabinet card featuring portrait images of 12 members of the 1887 Canton club, a minor-league entry in the Ohio State League. Each member is pictured in uniform and is identified in print (last name only) below his respective image. The players represented here are Brodie, Bausewine, Wood, Hoeneman, Donoghue, Sharpe, W. Sanders, Blackstock, B. Sanders, Delaney, Virtue, and Zecher. Five of these players had Major League experience. The photographer's credit is lettered along the base. The cabinet (4.5 x 6.5 inches) is in Very Good to Excellent condition overall,with brilliant contrast and a light crease on the upper-left corner. The blank reverse is mainly clean. Reserve $300.
