Three rare Sovereign cigarette packages, circa 1910. Each pack is different in size and represents, respectively, an eight-count box (1.2 x 2.75 x .75 inches), a ten-count box (1.75 x 2.75 x .75 inches), and a twelve-count box (2 x 3 x .75 inches). As most T206 collectors are aware, Sovereign is a desirable brand and seen far less often than Piedmont or Sweet Caporal advertising backs. Sovereign cigarette packs, however, are much more elusive than the tobacco cards bearing its brand. These are the first we have offered, and we have seen only a few others. The twelve-count box is complete with its cigarettes and has never been opened, as the tax label remains unbroken along the bottom. In Near Mint condition. Neither of the other two boxes contain cigarettes. The ten-count box is in Good condition overall. The eight-count box is in Very Good to Excellent condition. An attractive trio of these seldom-seen packs that would be perfect for display. Total: 3 packages. Reserve $200.
