Graded GOOD 2 by PSA. Every player has his classic card, and for Cy Young, to many it is his T206 portrait set against a bright green background. It is one of the most recognizable of all vintage cards and one of the most popular cards in the T206 set. The offered example is all the more noteworthy as the reverse has an advertisement for Sovereign 350 Cigarettes. Sovereign backs are uncommon, though not in the same league as the rarest of T206 backs (such as Lenox, Uzit, or Drum). This example displays brilliant colors, a crisp image, honest corner wear, and centering toward the top left. Boldly printed reverse. Light, scattered creasing factors into the assigned grade. A very desirable variety of this classic Cy Young card. Reserve $300.
