Dating from the 2007 season, this David Wright block-letter (full name) model "CB15" Marucci bat is made of maple, as opposed to ash, and features a cupped-end barrel. Evidence of tremendous use is displayed along its entire length. Numerous deeply embedded ball and stitch marks, including blue-ink transfer marks, are visible on the barrel. A heavy coating of Mota Stick has been applied to the handle. The handle displays a large multiple crack (approximately 17 inches). Wright's uniform number ("5") is stamped on the knob end and written in black marker on the barrel end. The bat's date of manufacture ("5 11 07"), length ("4"), and weight ("1.6") are stamped into the knob end. Wright has signed the bat and added his uniform number "5" in blue Sharpie on the barrel. Below his signature is the printed blue-Sharpie notation "Game Used." An MLB hologram label (#BB540541) certifying its game-used provenance is affixed to the front barrel. According to the MLB database, this bat was used by Wright on August 23, 2007, in a game against the San Diego Padres. Length: 33-7/8 inches. Weight: 32.8 ounces. Full LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA (for the bat) and an additional auction LOA from JSA/James Spence (for the signature). The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot. Reserve $200.
