Ticket stub from Game 7 of the 1955 World Series between the New York Yankees and Brooklyn Dodgers held at Yankee Stadium in New York on October 4th. Johnny Podres defeated the Yankees 2-0, which gave the Dodgers their only World Championship while in Brooklyn. The other hero for the Dodgers in that game was Sandy Amoros, who took the field in the bottom of the sixth inning as a defensive replacement in left field for Jim Gilliam. With men on first and second and none out in the bottom of the sixth, Yogi Berra lined a ball down the left-field line that Amoros miraculously caught and relayed to Pee Wee Reese, who in turn fired to first to double off Gil McDougald. That play ended the Yankees' rally and basically won the game for the Dodgers. The ticket stub (4-1/4 x 2-1/4 inches) displays moderate to heavy creasing. In Good condition overall. Reserve $100.
