Ticket stub issued for Game 5 of the 1921 World Series between the New York Yankees and New York Giants, held on October 10th at the Polo Grounds. PSA has encapsulated the ticket and certified it as “Authentic.” The Yankees defeated the Giants 3-1 in Game 5, which was highlighted by Babe Ruth's bunt in the fourth inning, which eventually led to him scoring the go-ahead run. The Giants had the last laugh though, defeating the Yankees in eight games (the Series was best of nine in 1921). 1921 marked the first World Series in New York Yankees franchise history, making this a historically important ticket. The ticket stub (2-1/8 x 4-1/4 inches) displays a number of moderate creases, scattered spots of surface wear, and blue ink notations on the reverse. In Fair condition overall. Reserve $100.
