Scarce New York Giants ticket stub issued for the sixth and final game of the 1917 World Series against the Chicago White Sox, held at the Polo Grounds on October 15th. Encapsulated and certified as "Authentic" by PSA. Future Hall of Famer Urban Faber notched his third win of the Series with a 4-2 win over Rube Benton and the Giants. That victory gave the White Sox their second World Championship of the modern era. The win also represented the only World Championship for Joe Jackson, who, along with seven of his teammates, later conspired to throw the 1919 World Series, resulting in his lifetime banishment from baseball. The ticket stub (2 x 2-7/8 inches) displays a black ink stamp (possibly the original owner's name) in the center, light creases, and surface wear at the top. In Good condition overall. Reserve $300.
