1951 Bowman #253 Mickey Mantle boldly signed by him on the front in blue fine-point Sharpie. PSA/DNA has encapsulated the card, grading the signature MINT 9 and the card VG 3. One of the all-time classics in card collecting, Mantle's rookie card is the key to the 1951 Bowman set and one of the most popular and significant of all postwar baseball cards. While the card itself is available to collectors, signed examples are scarce. This is not only an attractive signed example but just the second we have ever offered. Hall of Fame rookie cards have exploded in popularity in recent years, and signed examples are likewise commanding the attention of sophisticated autograph collectors.
