Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA. Presented is a solid example of the rare T206 Bill O'Hara, St. Louis variation. O'Hara, St. Louis, is one of the key rarities of the T206 set in any condition, but it is almost never found in such high grade. Both the scarce Demmitt and O'Hara variations are true condition rarities. Most collectors don't even think about trying to find either of these two cards in high grade. Polar Bear was the only company to issue either of these team variation cards. T206 cards issued with Polar Bear tobacco were not well protected from the accompanying product. This is why T206 cards with Polar Bear advertising reverses almost always have various condition problems, including tobacco staining. While this O'Hara has a few spots of scattered staining on both the front and reverse, there is certainly less staining on this example compared to most T206 Polar Bear cards featuring Demmit and O'Hara. This example displays vibrant colors, outstanding registration, honest corner wear, and centering toward the left. Boldly printed reverse. A diagonal crease running from the bottom of the left edge through O'Hara's nameplate is noted for accuracy. A noteworthy high-grade example of one of the rarest cards in the classic T206 White Border set. Reserve $10.
