Graded VG/EX 4 by SGC (submitted by REA). Striking postcard of Red Sox players taking batting practice at Fenway Park in 1915. The text along the top border reads “Red Sox Warming up, Fenway Park, Boston, Mass.” It should be noted that the player at the plate ready to take a swing appears to be Babe Ruth, but to the best of our knowledge this has not been confirmed. This is the first example of this postcard we have handled in the past 20 years! 1915 marked Babe Ruth's first full season with the Red Sox, and the club won its first of two consecutive World Championships that year. The postcard (5.5 x 3.5 inches) has not been addressed or mailed and has even corner wear. Reserve $200.
