Presented is a 2016 Chicago Cubs limited-edition commemorative 10k white gold World Series ring. While all World Series rings are special, 2016 Cubs rings are among the most significant from the modern era because they represent the franchise's first World Championship since 1908, ending the team's 108-year drought. This popular commemorative ring, which was limited in production to 108, quickly sold out when released by Jostens during spring 2017 despite retailing for $10,800. The design features the Cubs logo rendered in custom-cut rubies, surrounded by diamonds and sapphires. The lettering around the bezel reads "WORLD CHAMPIONS." One shank displays the Cubs' famous victory flag, which sits below the championship year. The Wrigley Field bricks and ivy finish the background. The opposite shank shows a silhouette of the Wrigley Field marquee, displaying the message "CUBS WIN!" Above the marquee is longtime Cubs announcer Harry Carray's trademark saying "HOLY COW." On the inside of the bottom band is "Go Cubs Go," a nod to the classic Steve Goodman song. The inside of the band is numbered "100/108" and had MLB Properties and carat-size engravings. The limited-edition engraving is flanked by the Cub's logo and the victory flag symbol. The ring has 144 diamonds, 55 sapphires, and 13 rubies. Near Mint condition. Together with an original Jostens presentation box (3-7/8 x 3-7/8 x 1-7/8 inches). Approximate size: 11.5. Approximate weight: 65 grams. Total: 2 items (ring and display box). Reserve $5,000.
