On May 28, 1951, in a game between the New York Giants and Boston Braves at the Polo Grounds in New York, Giants rookie center fielder Willie Mays recorded his first Major League hit by slamming a home run in his first at-bat, against future Hall of Famer Warren Spahn. Offered is a rare full "Proof" ticket (not valid for admission) from that game that has been encapsulated and graded GOOD 2 by PSA. This is only the third example we have offered in the past 20 years. Tickets from milestone events by Hall of Fame players have always been highly prized by collectors, and this proof ticket is one of the scarcest relating to Mays' legendary career.
