Ticket stub issued for the home opener of the 1915 season between the Boston Red Sox and Philadelphia Athletics, held at Fenway Park in Boston on April 22nd. This is the first example of this ticket that we have offered in the past 20 years! 1915 marked Babe Ruth's first full season in the Majors, making this one of the earliest Red Sox tickets we have handled from Ruth's rookie year. The Red Sox defeated the Athletics 7-6, in large part due to multiple hits by Hall of Famers Harry Hooper and Tris Speaker. Nap Lajoie had multiple hits for Philadelphia. The ticket stub (1-1/2 x 2-5/8 inches) has a number of light creases. In Fair to Good condition. Reserve $200.
