New York Yankees road jersey worn by outfielder Robinson Canó during the 2008 season, which was the last year the team played in the original Yankee Stadium. The jersey is accompanied by both a LOA from Steiner Sports and a Major League Baseball Authentication label (affixed to garment). According to the MLB database, Canó wore this jersey on April 14, 2008, in a game against the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana. The gray knit jersey features the "New York" logo across the chest and features the number "24" on the reverse. Both the logo and the numerals are appliquéd in navy tackle twill. A special Yankee Stadium commemorative patch appears on the left sleeve. Because 2008 was the club's final season at the original Yankee Stadium, Major League Baseball arranged for the 2008 All-Star Game to held at the famed "House That Ruth Built." Accordingly, a 2008 "All-Star" Game patch adorns the right sleeve. A "Majestic" label is located on the left front tail, as are a "48" size tag and "2008" year tag. The jersey is original as issued, with no alterations, and displays moderate wear, including a number of soil stains on the front. Canó entered the game as a pinch-hitter in the top of the Eighth inning April 14th. With the score tied 7-7, Canó hit a go-ahead, solo home run. That home run would prove to be decisive, as the Yankees would go onto to win 8-7. For the season, Canó batted .271 with 14 home runs and 72 RBI. Reserve $500. Estimate (open).
