Graded VG-EX 4 by SGC. Extremely attractive example of this classic tobacco card of Hall of Famer Ty Cobb (Detroit). The Green Background pose has long been considered the rarest of the four poses of Cobb in the T206 set. Cobb's portrait contrasts sharply against the flawless green background. Perfect registration, no creases, clean both front and back, and four strong corners. The Piedmont reverse is perfectly clean. A very striking example of one Cobb's most popular cards from the premier tobacco issue of the 1910 era. Originating from the extraordinary collection of legendary collector Paul Pollard.
