Graded VG 3 by SGC. Extremely pleasing example of the rare Demmitt, St. Louis Browns T206 variation. Polar Bear was the only company to issue this T206 variation, thus no doubt contributing to its significant rarity. T206 cards issued with Polar Bear tobacco were not well protected from the accompanying product, thus almost all Demmitts have significant condition problems, including at least some tobacco staining. This example has an overall clean reverse with little to no staining, centering slightly to the right, and fresh colors. Only a crease in the upper right corner is responsible for the assigned grade. This is a very attractive example of one of the rarest and most condition-sensitive cards in the classic T206 White Border set.
