Graded GOOD 2 by PSA. A very attractive example of one Lou Gehrig's most striking and desirable cards. The set is identical in design to E210 York Caramels, Yuengling's Ice Cream, and W502, but the reverse of each card features advertising for Tharp’s Ice Cream. The reverse informs kids that a prize will be given for each Babe Ruth card turned in and that "a gallon of Tharp's ice cream will be delivered in exchange for a complete set of sixty cards." The offered example of Gehrig is bright and crisp, with a bold image, a touch of wear to the corners, and superb centering. Extremely rare and classic card of Gehrig dating from the peak of his powers in the 1920s, when the Yankees' Ruth and Gehrig (and the rest of Murderers' Row) ruled the baseball world. Reserve $500.
