Collection of four Oakland Raiders payroll checks signed by longtime owner Al Davis between the years 1977 and 1978. A three-time Super Bowl champion, Davis is best remembered today for his motto "Just win, baby." The signatures, scripted in black ink, average "9/10." The check dates are as follows: 1977 (2): both dated from May 13; 1978 (2): both dated from January 13th. The checks (8.5 x 3.5 inches) all display normal bank cancellation stamps and a vertical fold line down the middle. Each check has some light creasing, but are in otherwise Excellent condition overall. Total: 4 checks. Auction LOA from James Spence/JSA. Reserve $200.
