Ticket stub issued for Game 1 of the 1916 World Series between the Brooklyn Robins (Dodgers) and Boston Red Sox held at Braves Field on October 7th. The Red Sox played their home games at Braves Field instead of Fenway Park for the 1916 World Series because the stadium had more seating. Graded FR 1.5 by PSA. This is the first 1916 World Series Game 1 ticket stub we have ever offered and one of only three graded by PSA. Boston won Game 1 by a score of 6-5 en route to a five-game victory over Brooklyn in the World Series, thereby marking its second consecutive World Championship of the decade, a period during which the club won four World Series in a span of seven years (1912-1918). The ticket stub (1-3/8 x 3-3/8 inches) displays a number of light creases, a tiny chip on the bottom edge, and paper loss the reverse from having once been mounted in an album. Reserve $300.
