Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. This is one of only six examples graded at this level by PSA with none higher! Presented is an exceptional ultra high-grade example of 1948-1949 Leaf #93 Bob Feller. This is one of card collecting's great classics. Bob Feller’s Leaf card is universally recognized as one of the scarcest and most significant of all postwar baseball cards. Chicago's Leaf Gum Company produced the first multicolor baseball cards of the post-World War II era in 1948-1949. Forty-nine cards in the set are considered "standard," and the additional "short-print" series of forty-nine cards in the set are so rare that "Rare Leafs" has long been a formal card-collecting hobby term. Leafs are without question one of the toughest postwar sets to complete because of all the rare cards. Feller is not only one of the keys to this rare series, he is also one of the keys to the 1948-1949 Leaf set. The offered example is perfectly clean front and back, with bold colors, four sharp corners, and centered toward the top right. The reverse is clean and free of all staining or excess print, and is centered to the left. This is an extremely attractive high-grade example of one of the most classic of all postwar baseball cards, and in the eyes of many, Bob Feller's single most desirable baseball card.
