Complete 96-card set of the classic 1935 R89 "Mickey Mouse" Bubble Gum cards issued by Gum., Inc. Condition is 23% Vg-Ex to Ex, 45% Gd to Vg, and 36% lower (including a couple with a slight trim, one with color added, and a few which measure small). Keys: #1 "Let's Make Hoop-ee" (measures a bit small, otherwise Vg), 21 "He's Sure a Handy..." w/ Walt Disney (Gd), and 92 "People Like Uncle Walt..." w/ Walt Disney (slightly tilted miscut, otherwise Vg-Ex). Mickey Mouse Bubble Gum cards are considered by many to be the single most classic 1930s nonsport bubble-gum card set. The brilliant colors, high-quality artwork, and popular subject matter have always made this set a favorite with collectors. It is also worth noting that cards from this set are much scarcer than most collectors realize, and far more difficult to find than most baseball cards of the era (such as Goudeys, National Chicles, Play Balls, etc.). This is a very presentable medium- to lower-grade complete set of one of the most popular of all 1930s gum card sets, with tremendous crossover appeal to both card collectors and Mickey Mouse collectors.
