New York Jets pennant issued for Super Bowl III, signed by Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Namath. The left side of the green-felt pennant features a generic image of a Jets player and the AFL logo. The lettering below the logo reads "3rd Annual Super Bowl Miami, Fla. Jan 12, 1969." The Jets team name appears to the right in large white letters. Namath has inscribed the pennant "Joe Willie Namath 12" in black Sharpie ("9") atop the Jets player. Namath led the Jets to one of the greatest upset wins in sports history in Super Bowl III, with his stellar performance earning him MVP honors after the game. The pennant (29.5 inches) is missing its tassels, but is otherwise in Excellent to Mint condition. Accompanied by a COA from James Spence/JSA. Reserve $200. Estimate (open).
