Presented is a collection of five unopened 1989 Upper Deck Baseball low-number series wax boxes, each containing thirty-six packs and fifteen cards per pack for a total of 2,700 cards. The 1989 Upper Deck set includes rookie cards of Ken Griffey Jr., Randy Johnson, Gary Sheffield, and John Smoltz. Each box comes shrink-wrapped by Baseball Card Exchange (owned by Steve Hart, the foremost expert on unopened material) and is noted to have originated from a sealed case (FASC designation on label). While it is impossible to provide guarantees with reference to grading of unopened material, there is, of course, the very real possibility that within these boxes are Gem Mint cards of these rookies. All the other stars of the day are also included. The boxes are bright and bold, with very light wear. An outstanding group of unopened low-number series wax boxes from this classic modern issue. Total: 5 unopened boxes. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot. Reserve $1,000. Estimate (open).
