Unopened Packs and Boxes
Complete original unopened wax case of 1989 Fleer baseball containing twenty boxes with thirty-six packs per box for a total of 720 packs. With each pack containing fifteen cards, the case represents a total of 10,800 cards. The case comes shrink-wrapped by Baseball Card Exchange (owned by Steve Hart, the foremost expert on unopened material). The "factory-sealed" distinction is particularly important and makes the offered case even more impressive. The 1989 Fleer set, which is one of the most popular sets of the 1980s, includes rookie cards of Ken Griffey, Jr., Randy Johnson, Gary Sheffield, Craig Biggio, and John Smoltz. While it is impossible to provide guarantees with reference to grading of unopened material, it would be hard to imagine that this case does not include a generous supply of Mint or even Gem Mint examples of every player in the set. Original factory seals intact with minor outer box wear. An excellent opportunity to acquire this thirty-two year old factory-sealed wax case from the popular 1989 Fleer baseball issue. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot. Reserve $500. Estimate (open).
