Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Of the 937 examples graded by PSA to date, only thirteen have been graded higher. High-grade example of Cleveland Indians Hall of Famer Satchell Paige from the popular 1949 Bowman bubble-gum card set. Bright, crisp, and clean, both front and back, with four sharp corners, and deep colors. Outstanding centering and clean reverse. 1949 Bowmans in general are rarely found in such high grade, primarily because they so often have naturally soft corners due to the paper stock on which they are printed. Superb ultra high-grade example of one of the key cards in this set. Reserve $10. Estimate (open).
