The beautiful lithography, the great number of stars represented, and the unique design of T202 Hassan Triple Folders combine to make it one of the most highly regarded of all baseball-card sets of the era. Offered is a near-complete set of this classic tobacco-card issue (101 different cards out of 132 in the set) plus twenty-one duplicates. Included are dozens of stars and Hall of Famers. T202s are unnumbered. In the following condition composite, identifying card numbers are referenced from the numbers provided by the Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards checklist. Please note that the grading companies are notoriously hard on T202s due to the “spider creases” that naturally occur along the folds of the side panels, as well as roller marks that are so common to the issue and are natural manufacturing flaws. The offered partial set has superior eye-appeal, with many of the cards presenting far better than suggested by their technically accurate grades. Condition is 23% Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt, 49% Vg-Ex to Ex, and 16% Gd to Vg, and 12% lesser (including a few miscut, a few that measure small, and one with a slight trim). Eight cards are graded and encapsulated by SGC.
