Offered is a beautiful partial set of T202 Hassan Triple Folders consisting of seventy-six different cards (out of 132 in a complete set), highlighted by nineteen cards featuring Hall of Famers, including Walter Johnson. Fifty-four cards are professionally graded and encapsulated by SGC. T202s are unnumbered; in the following condition composite, identifying card numbers are referenced from the numbers provided by the Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards checklist.
SGC condition composite: EX+ 70 (2 cards): #97 and 101 Griffith/McBride. EX 60 (14 cards): #1 LaPorte/Wallace, 2 Wallace/Pelty, 7, 11, 37, 41, 48, 56, 57, 60 Archer/Evers, 86, 96, 121, and 128. VG/EX+ 55 (3 cards): #83 Marquard/Meyers, 93, and 116 Brown/Graham. VG/EX 50 (14 cards): #20 Chance/Shean, 22 Clarke/Gibson, 24, 27 Clarke/Gibson, 42, 66, 69, 87, 91, 111, 113, 114, 117, and 120. This is a very attractive collection, with most cards (as is often the case with T202s) appearing far superior to their technically accurate assigned grades. This is an outstanding foundation for the assembling of a beautiful set of T202 Hassan Triple Folders, arguably the most interesting and beautiful baseball tobacco issue ever produced. The equivalent SMR value for 53 of the 54 graded cards (factoring in the six half grades at the lower whole-grade level and not including the one card graded authentic) is $6,772. Total: 76 cards.
