Original mixed media on canvas (mounted to board) painting of Honus Wagner, titled Honus, 1911, by renowned sports artist Arthur K. Miller. Signed by the artist in the upper-right corner. Signed again and dated ("2021") by Miller on the reverse of the frame. The facial study pictures Wagner in his Pirates home uniform with cap. Arthur K. Miller is an award-winning portrait artist specializing in historical sports figures and Pop Culture icons. His work has been exhibited and collected internationally for over 30 years, including an unprecedented five-year solo exhibition at the National Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum. His exacting portraits are featured in many permanent collections, including those of the Baseball Hall of Fame, the New York Historical Society and the Louisville Slugger Museum.
