Philadelphia Phillies usherettes' vest and cap dating from the 1950s. Our consignor purchased the ensemble years ago from a descendant of one of the usherettes who wore the outfit while working at Connie Mack Stadium during Phillies games. This is one of the rarest Philadelphia Phillies/Connie Mack Stadium artifacts we have ever handled and the first example we have seen. The vest features the team name "Phillies" on the left breast. A "Central Uniforms" label appears on the interior. The number "18" is noted on the label. The cap features the team name "Phillies" across the front. Both items display general wear commensurate with their age and use. In apparent Excellent condition overall. Mounted and framed to total dimensions of 24 x 28 inches. Accompanied by an original photograph (10 x 8-1/8 inches) featuring the "Ushers and Usherettes" of Connie Mack Stadium posed in the stadium bleachers. Fair condition.
