Full proof ticket produced for Game 1 of the 1925 World Series held at Forbes Field in Pittsburgh. PSA has encapsulated the ticket and certified it as "Authentic." The 1925 World Series matched the defending champion Washington Senators against the Pittsburgh Pirates. This was a historic series, as it marked the first time in World Series play that a team overcame a three-games-to-one deficit to win the World Championship. The club that accomplished that feat was the Pirates, who defeated Walter Johnson 9-7 in the seventh to claim their second World Championship. Johnson had shut down the Pirates in his previous two starts, including Game 1, when he allowed just one run and five hits in Washington's 4-1 victory.
