Scarce ticket stub issued for Game 5 of the 1915 World Series between the Philadelphia Phillies and Boston Red Sox, held at the Baker Bowl in Philadelphia on October 13th. This is the first example of this ticket that we have offered in the past eighteen years! 1915 marked Babe Ruth's first appearance in the World Series, making all items relating to that year's Fall Classic particularly desirable. Ruth appeared in just one game against the Phillies (grounding out after pinch-hitting for Ernie Shore in Game 1), but he was still rewarded a full World Series check in the amount of $3,780.25 when the Red Sox defeated Philadelphia in five games to capture its second World Championship of the decade. Graded POOR 1 (MK) by PSA (submitted by REA). The ticket (2 x 1.5 inches) displays a number of creases, and the score is noted in black ink on the reverse. Reserve $300.
