It seems only fitting that the “Caped Crusader” would be immortalized in his own card sets. Batman took the world by storm in 1966 with the introduction of the wildly popular Batman television series. Topps joined the bandwagon with several series of card sets devoted to the Caped Crusader. This collection consists of the following pair of complete sets: 1) 1966 Topps "Batman" complete set (55): 42% Ex to Ex-Mt (mostly Ex), 48% Vg-Ex and 10% lesser (mostly Vg). 2) 1966 Topps "Batman - Riddler Back" complete set (38): 36% Nr/Mt (including a couple Nr/Mt-Mt), 51% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 13% Vg-Ex. Also includes a Secret Decoder insert in Excellent condition. This is a very attractive and overall mid-grade pair of complete sets of these popular 1960s Topps nonsport issues.
